How we handle your info and keep things transparent
Last updated: January 2024
Look, we're architects, not data brokers. But yeah, we need some info to do our job properly.
At Frosthal Quintar Architecture, we take your privacy seriously - like, really seriously. We've built this practice on trust and transparency, same way we design buildings. This policy explains what information we collect when you reach out to us or browse our site, and more importantly, what we actually do with it.
We're based in Vancouver, BC, and we follow Canadian privacy laws including PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act). No funny business, just straight talk about your data.
If you're reaching out about a project or just have questions, we'll collect:
Like most sites, ours collects some technical stuff automatically:
Once we're working together, we'll obviously need more detailed stuff - site surveys, budget info, design preferences, municipal requirements, all that jazz. But we only collect what's actually necessary for your project.
We're not gonna beat around the bush here. Your info helps us:
Designing your space, coordinating with contractors and engineers, dealing with permits, and keeping you updated throughout the process.
Responding to your inquiries, sending project updates, sharing relevant info about timelines or changes.
Meeting our professional obligations, maintaining records as required by law, and protecting both our interests if disputes come up.
Making our website better, understanding what services folks are interested in, and improving how we work.
We won't sell your information to third parties, use it for random marketing campaigns, or share your project details without permission. That's a promise.
This is your data. You've got rights, and we respect that.
Ask us what info we've got on you. We'll show you.
Found an error? Let us know and we'll fix it.
Want your data gone? We'll delete it (unless we legally have to keep it).
Need your data in a transferable format? We can do that.
Don't want marketing emails? Unsubscribe anytime.
Disagree with how we're using your info? Tell us why.
To exercise any of these rights, just shoot us an email at studio@frosthalquintar.info or call us at (604) 555-0142. We'll get back to you within 30 days.
We take security seriously - think of it like designing a building's structural integrity, but for your data.
That said, nothing's 100% foolproof online. We do our best, but if something goes wrong, we'll let you know ASAP and work to fix it.
We don't hoard information forever. Here's the general timeline:
After these periods, we securely delete or anonymize your data unless there's a legal reason to keep it longer.
Sometimes we link to other sites - maybe a supplier's catalog, a certification body, or project references. Once you click away from our site, this privacy policy doesn't apply anymore. Those sites have their own policies, so check them out if you're concerned.
We try to only link to reputable sites, but we can't control what they do with your data.
Our services aren't directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from minors. If you're a parent and think your kid has shared info with us, let us know and we'll delete it right away.
We're based in Canada, and most of our data stays here. But some of our service providers might store data on servers in other countries (looking at you, cloud services). When that happens, we make sure they meet Canadian privacy standards or have adequate protections in place.
If you're browsing from outside Canada, your data might cross borders. By using our site, you're cool with that.
Things change - new laws, new tech, new ways of working. When we update this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If it's a major change, we'll shoot you an email if we have your address.
It's worth checking back occasionally to see if anything's changed.
We're here to help. Seriously, if something in this policy confuses you or you've got questions about your data, just reach out. We'd rather talk it through than have you worried.

Thanks for taking the time to read through this. We know privacy policies aren't exactly thrilling, but they matter.
